We have made three exchanges through Intervac this year; San Francisco later this month, Scotland in July and southeast England in August.

You provide a wonderful service, and our Intervac exchanges - the first in Amsterdam, the last four in France have been both exciting and deepening.

Your deal is so great. We have been to Spain, France and Oregon. All have been with people who are hip to the zip, respectful and aware of what it takes to trade.

We continue to be thrilled with Intervac. I just renewed for the 11th consecutive year.

Without home exchange, there is no way that we could have afforded to take our family of five for five and a half week vacation in Canada.

Why would I want a complete stranger to take a holiday in my home?

Because you'll be on holiday in their house. Picture this: you are in Australia, having taken advantage of cheap air fares and enjoying a barbecue and a beer on a little-known beach with the locals. You stroll back to an inviting, cosy family home just after sunset, and it feels as though you have lived there forever.

Most Intervac members are mature, established family-oriented professionals, executives, business-owners or retired people who are financially successful and respect property. Prior to committing to an exchange you should always get to know your counter-party through e-mail, letters, fax and phone. This establishes mutual trust. References can be requested from prior exchanges or neighbours.
A co z ubezpieczeniem?

You should check your insurance coverage. For security reasons, most insurance companies prefer that your home is occupied during your absence.
Czy wymiana obejmuje samochody?

In most cases exchange of cars is an important part of the exchange deal. Most car insurance policies cover guest drivers. If necessary you can always supplement your regular policy with an additional short-term specific coverage. You should discuss this with your exchange partner and agree in advance who will be responsible for the financial aspect.
Kto chciałby się wymienić właśnie ze mną?

You will be surprised! Take some time writing extra text for your listing and tell potential exchange partners all about your neighborhood, why you love living there, what they can see and do in the region. Remember, your partner will be on holiday and has time to explore. Everyone lives near something interesting, because "interesting" is often nothing more than the unfamiliar.

First, it is important to know that it takes some initiative to make an exchange happen. We try to make it as simple as possible though. Our members contact each other directly to start a dialog that could lead to an exchange. It is not unusual to make and receive several offers before you find just the right partner.

Many exchangers with large homes would be happy to trade for an adequate apartment/condominium in central Paris, London, Rome or San Francisco. Others are looking for a quiet getaway. An exchange is equal when both parties are satisfied with their arrangements.
