New energy efficient home in the mountains
We built our net zero home above the valley on a large forested lot by a creek. The property is very private and is a 7 minutes drive to town or bike in 20 minutes. Skiing in Whistler is 30 minutes away, mountain biking and paragliding are right out the back door. There are lots of hiking trails and lakes near by, great breweries and local vegetable farms up the valley.
Pemberton is a growing community with over 4,000 in the surrounding areas. It's still a pretty country town with not much in the way of commercial retail, just a couple of grocery stores, good restaurants, hardware and some sporting stuff. Most things can be picked up in Whistler or Vancouver only 2 hours away.
