Mountain Flat in Col de L'Arzelier, France
Hi !
I am François, DNA Expert, Inventor and Entrepreneur in Biology.
I propose my mountain flat for a quiet stay, with fresh air and mountain hikes.
The flat is located 20 min by car, south of Grenoble, france.
The small village of "col de l'Arzelier", at 1100 m of altitude and well known for hiking.
You will have a very cosy and comfy flat of 30 m2 that can welcome up to 4 persons and have all amenities: bathroom with shower and washing machine; Kitchen with stove, oven, micro-wave and equipement for raclette and fondue. Internet (20 Mbps, allowing to do videoconferences), a collection of books in french and board games.
The mountain corner has 2 beds and the living room a sofa you can convert in bed for 2 persons.
You will enjoy the exceptional view on the forest, as well as on the "mont Aiguille", the incredible square-shaped mountain where alpinism was first invented in 1492.
Many hiking trails accessible from the flat as well as fantastic trails such as the "randonnee des passerelles", a trail during which you will cross a lake through rope bridge (Monteynard lake).
I strongly recommend the restaurant of the village "Les Agapes de l'Arzelier".

About Our Family
I am currently CEO and Founder of CircaGene ltd, a company specialized in Analysis of Genetic data by molecular biology and BioInformatics. I founded CircaGene ltd in august 2018. I had been Head of BioInformatics for 2 years in DNA electronics, a role I still assume part-time as a contractor.
I have wide-ranging professional experience as a Computational Biologist for 7 years in bioMérieux, an international IVD company. I am a Computational Biologist expert in panel and assay design, expert in development of Bioinformatics tools, innovative assay design strategies and Nucleic Acids Amplification technologies (NAAT).
For over 20 years, I developed tens of innovative Bioinformatics tools allowing to build innovative assays in the field of Molecular Biology for a wide range application (IVD, Food pathogens detection, GMOs, environmental protection, human genetics) building competitive advantage to the different companies I worked for.
I graduated in Genetics and Bioinformatics and joined a company specialized in sequencing services (Genome Express) as a Bioinformatics Engineer for 8 years. Managing successfully tens of Customer projects providing my expertise both in the fields of Genetics and Bioinformatics, turning sequencing data into meaningful biological knowledge. In 2007, I decided to become a consultant for Life Science industries. My strong commitment to public health led me to support academic projects (see publications). I joined bioMérieux company in 2009 as Recognized Bioinformatics and Assay Design expert, in 2014 I took the responsibility of a team entitled “Assay Design Expert Group – In Silico Tools and NAATs”; leading a team of Bioinformaticians and molecular biologist developing reagents needed for a diagnostic test of bloodstream infections. This work was done in close collaboration with BioFire, a US-based IVD company owned by bioMérieux developing the FilmArray system. As an expert in assay design, computational biology and bioinformatics, I design assays on a wide range of viral, bacterial and AntiMicrobial Resistance Genes (AMR) targets among which Influenza A and B.
